An important note about completing death benefit forms

If you are an Active member, a Deferred member, or a Pensioner who has been retired for less than five years there may be death benefits payable in the event of your death. 

To nominate who you would like to receive these benefits you will need to complete a form to legally register your wishes with the Trustees. The forms to complete are:

Letter of Intent  - this covers payment of any lump sum benefit payable upon your death

Dependant Nomination  -  if you are not married, under certain circumstances you can nominate a partner to receive your dependant's pension.

You can complete both forms online by registering to use My Online Pension.  A link to this portal can be found down the left-hand side menu of your screen.

Alternatively you can download the Letter of Intent and Dependant Nomination forms below.  Please note other National Grid Pension schemes' Letters of Intent are not valid for this Scheme.
